Exciting news for baseball enthusiasts! The Samford baseball team is gearing up for its annual First Pitch Dinner, set for February 1st at 6 p.m. This year, the gathering will take place in the Coca-Cola Hospitality Room located in the Pete Hanna Center, as announced by head coach Tony David earlier this week.
This much-anticipated dinner is exclusively available to members of the Diamond Society Booster Club. Each year, this event serves to kick off the new season while also expressing gratitude to those who support the program.
"The Diamond Society truly embodies the core of our baseball program’s operations," stated Coach David. "We owe it to the generosity and unwavering passion of our members for both our program and the university that we can compete at such a high level. Our team's continued success over the years has been made possible because of the incredible support from the Diamond Society."
The Diamond Society consists of alumni, parents of current and former players, friends, and dedicated fans of the baseball program.
Attendees of the dinner will gain valuable insights into the current status of the baseball program, including updates on any new additions and changes since the conclusion of last season. Guests can also look forward to learning about facility enhancements, roster details, and a comprehensive preview of what this upcoming baseball season holds.
If you have any inquiries regarding the dinner or would like more information about the Diamond Society, please reach out to Elisabeth Souders via email at edcarr@samford.edu.
